In Science, students have been studying space in this unit. We have previously studied physics and are now going to combine the two areas.Students will be working in groups to build rockets but we are in need of more 2 liter bottles to serve at the body of the spacecrafts. If you have any 2 liter bottles you could donate to the cause please send them with your student on Monday.

We are now in our 4th and final unit of the 7th grade curriculum. For this unit, we will be studying how culture shapes individuality through examining slavery and works like The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. We will be reading an abridged version of Huck using a graphic novel, which covers all of the big concepts and ideas of the original, while omitting the controversial language.

Students will also be working through some texts on their own at their own pace. We will end this unit with a one-paragraph essay.
